WEEDS pose a serious threat to the successful cultivation of Rapcseed and Mustard. Being slow growing nature during initial stages weeds sometimes overgrow these crops and inflict losses to the tune of 15-20%. Manual weeding, if done timely and efficiently can help eliminating most of the weeds from these crops. Sometimes timely labour is not available at the peak period of weed removal and thus hoeing gets delayed and there are sizeable reduction in the seed yield of these crops.
