Machines for mechanised wheat cultivation

Mechanization of agriculture has helped in increasing production and productivity of wheat to a large extent through timely and precise field operations. PAU has developed several improved machines for wheat cultivation. PUNJAB is the most mechanizedstate of India. Mechanization of agriculture has helped in increasing wheat production and productivity to a large extent through timely and precise field operations. PAU has developed and evaluated several improved machines for wheat. These include machines for seed bed preparation, sowing, inter-culture, chemical control, fertilizer application and harvesting and threshing etc. Operation-wise detail of these improved farm equipment for wheat sowing has been discussed in this article.
