POTATO being the king of vegetable crops occupies maximum area among the vegetable crops. It has achieved a prominant place in our agricultuie as it is possible to adopt it in short time. In some of the European countries the crop is treated as cereal crop. In Punjab, the potato is generally grown by the farmers during autumn season, but some of the farmei s earn high profit by raising it during spring season. The present article deals with the cultivation of potato in spring season.
