A Show Is Born: Despite the recession, Ag Connect, a new international farm show, makes its debut

There were not a lot of whistlers at the inaugural Ag Connect 2010 Expo farm machinery show held recently in Orlando. Turns out that's a good thing in the eyes of some exhibitors. "Whistlers," in the parlance of those who host booths at farm shows, are visitors who ask how much a big tractor costs, then whistle: "Man, that's mOre than my whole farm costs." Whistlers are welcome at farm show booths. But they are not likely customers for high-priced equipment.
