摘要

The structure of ectomycorrhizae formed by Suillus variegatus, S. plorans and S. bovinus was analyzed in detail. According to molecular phylogenetic data available in the literature, these species belong to a separate clade within the genus, while traditional systematics divides these taxa into different sections. The present study indicates that ectomycorrhizal features may reflect phylogenetic relationships better than the classical arrangement based solely on above-ground fungal structures.
