Experiments were conducted in Swadzim, Poland to assess susceptibility of F2 maize generation to Fusarium spp. The hybrids' susceptibility to Fusarium spp. causing foot-rot was diverse; average percentage of infestation fluctuated from 0.6 to 5.7 in the first date of observation. Plants of medium-late hybrid Clarica, regardless of generation, were the most resistant to the infestation by Fusarium spp. Analysis of variance showed that stem base infestation of F2 hybrid generation in both dates of observation was significantly higher than that of plants of F1 generation. Similar relations were found in the case of ear infestation by Fusarium spp.
