Reaction of different maize cultivars to insecticides in post-registration variety trials.

The aim of the Post-Registration Variety Testing system is an usefulness assessment of listed maize cultivars for their cultivation in different regions characterized by diversified climatic and soil conditions. Field experiments were carried out under Wielkopolska climate conditions, at the Experimental Station of Variety Testing Koscielna Wies. Experiments with 19 maize cultivars were carried out in two vegetation seasons - 2007 and 2008. Intensity of disease and pest occurrence as well as the yield quantity were recorded. On the base of obtained results, some maize cultivars can be recommended for agricultural practice under climatic and soil conditions of Wielkopolska.
