Detection and identification of Phytophthora alni.

摘要

In 2004 Brasier et al. described a new species - Phytophthora alni, which was especially aggressive to alder. Brasier suggested that it is a natural hybrid between P. cambivora and another unknown taxon of Phytophthora, related to P. fragariae. A new Phytophthora diseases of alder is widely distributed in Europe as well as in Poland. For identification of Phytophthora species is mostly used a convention technique based on morphology of mycelium, sporangia and gametangia. However microscopical method is time consuming and not very precise. Using techniques for generating of molecular markers appears to be an attractive alternative for the identification and detection of P. alni.
