Yielding and chemical composition of winter wheat grain cultivated in monoculture in conditions of differentiated doses of herbicides application.

A field experiment was conducted in Poland to compare the efficacy of three doses of herbicides applied in winter wheat cv. Turnia in monoculture. The herbicides Atlantis 04 WG [mesosulfuron + iodosulfuron] and Factor 365 SE [metosulam + 2,4-D] were applied in full recommended doses (200 g/ha and 1 l/ha respectively) as well as at doses reduced to 75 and to 50%. The control object was not treated with herbicides. The application of different doses of herbicides did not show different content of P, K, Mg, Ca and Na in grain of winter wheat. The total protein content in the objects treated with full recommended doses was higher in comparison with other treatments and the control. Grain yield was significantly higher in herbicide treatment in comparison with the control. Weather conditions significantly affected grain yield, yield components and grain chemical composition.
