The efficacy of oil adjuvants (plant-derived, methylated seed oil and mineral oil) against two-spotted spider mite (T. urticae) on infested cucumber leaves was evaluated. The mortality of mite moving stages, wettability of leaves, and some physical properties of the spray mixture were investigated. Oil adjuvants, particularly the adjuvant based on emulsified rapeseed oil, were highly effective for the control of T. urticae under greenhouse conditions. There was no correlation between the mortality of T. urticae and spray mixture surface tension, relative viscosity, spray droplet spreading (wettability), and spray droplet drying time on glass and leaf surfaces.
