摘要

Field experiments were carried out in Kruszyn Krajenski near Bydgoszcz. A significant influence of drip irrigation on the insect occurrence on the watermelon plants was proved. The irrigated plants of watermelon were in better condition in comparison to non-irrigated and were more attractive for insects. The use of different light colours during seedlings production influenced the insect occurrence, also. The use of the day light was a basic factor for limiting the quantity of insects. The watermelon plants were colonized mainly by Homoptera, Heteroptera and Thysanoptera. The most numerous insects on watermelon plants were: Empoasca pteridis, Psamotettix alienus and Macrosteles laevis.
