Protection of agricultural crops in the direct cost of production in the years 2000-2008.

An analysis is presented of the cost share related to the protection of agricultural crops (winter wheat, winter rye, winter oilseed rape, sugar beet and potato) in Wielkopolska province farms during 2000-08. The smallest share of the costs of protection products was shown in the case of winter rye (5%), and the greatest was in the case of winter wheat crop (21%). The average cost of plant protection for all crops amounted to 13.7% of direct costs incurred per 1 hectare of crop.
