Pesticide residues in mushrooms (2007-2008).

This paper presents results of pesticide residue monitoring in mushrooms from Polish producers in 2007-2008. Totally one hundred seventy seven samples were analyzed. One hundred twenty three active substances were analyzed in each sample by gas chromatography and high performance liquid chromatography. There were found mainly pesticide residues which are nonapproved in cultivation of mushrooms. It was fungicide carbendazim (9% samples) and insecticides: endosulfan (3%), chlorpyrifos (0.6%). Generally, 14% of samples contained pesticide residues and in 8% residues were found at the amount above the Polish MRL.
