The recycling symposium was held at the Centre Technique du Papier(CTP)in Grenoble,France from March 16-18,2004.J.Sturm(Director of CTP)opened the symposium and announced that there were 84 persons from 20 countries attending;including 8 from Asia,5 from North America,3 from South America and 2 from Africa.CTP had reestablished the Consultancy Council and were very research oriented with partnership programs and cooperation with PTS(Papier Technische Stiftung).CTP invests 1.5 million euros per year in research equipment.G.Galland of CTP then told the attendees that the symposium was previously held in November 1999 and 2001,but was moved to March 2004 to take advantage of the beautiful spring weather.The 33 speakers from 10 countries would be divided over 6 sessions:
