3D scanning: Two Big New Benefits of Laser Scanning

Two recent additions to the list of high-definition surveying's added-value benefits are ones that I consider very significant for the surveying profession: (1) more effectively communicating the value of surveying services to clients, and (2) an ability to immediately and easily provide clients with useful deliverables well before they receive final maps. Both derive from some new laser scanning software that has recently come into the market.
