摘要

In cold rolling, a particular type of spalling has. been associated for some time with the surface of the rolls. It is assumed that this type of damage is due to the hydrogen embrittlement of the surface of the hardened rolls. During the rolling process, atomic hydrogen can form as a result of galvanic or chemical reactions which then penetrates into the surface of the rolls.
