AKZO NOBEL TO BUILD A SPECIALTY CHEMICALS PLANT IN CHINA

Ningbo/PR China (DST) - Akzo Nobel broke ground on a new alkoxylation plant in Ningbo, PR China. For this project the company budgets an investment of more than ? 400 million Euro. The new multi-site accommodates production for chelates, ethylene amines, ethylene oxide, organic peroxides and Bermocoll cellulose derivatives. This investment will increase the company's annual capacity by nearly 18,000 tons, mainly catering for Chinese domestic demand.
