All of us who work in the plumbing and mechanical industry have, at one time or another, questioned ourselves on the proper installation requirements for backflow prevention devices or assem?blies. We have also come across installa?tions, or in some cases shop drawings or blueprints, where we questioned whether the level of protection was correct, or if the cross connection control was located properly and met the manufacturers installation requirements.
