NORTH AMERICAN MILL ACTIVITY

U.S. pipe and tube mills operated at 26.2% of capacity in October based upon preliminaryshipment data. This is an increase of 1.2 percentage points from the September rate once adjustedfor final U.S. domestic shipments. At this time last year, the average operating rate was 30.6%.These figures encompass all U.S. mills.
