Thai Government Announces Petchem Development Plan

The government of Thailand unveiled a US10-billion investment plan for the country's petrochemical industry, at CWs 10th annual Asia/Pacific Chemical Industry Meeting(Apcim),held last week in Bangkok.Leading Thai petchem producers also announced details of investment projects that will form part of the plan(table).In a welcoming address Cherdpong Siriwit,Thailand's minister of energy,told Apcim delegates that the country's energy ministry has completed a "master plan for the third wave of petrochemical development" that will run until 2018.
