Germany's Recovery Runs Out of Steam

Chemical production increased 5% in Germany in the first quarter compared with the year-earlier period,but was up only 0.5% compared with the previous quarter,according to industry association VCI (Frankfurt).That compares with quarter-on-quarter output growth of 4.2% in the last three months of 2004.
