The governments of Malaysia,the Philippines,Singapore,and Thailand have decided to withdraw from the PT Asean Aceh Fertilizer (AAF;Lhokseumawe,Indonesia) joint venture,citing a shortage of natural gas feedstock,according to recent press reports in Indonesia.Malaysia,the Philippines,and Thailand each hold 13% of the jv,and Singapore has 1%.The governments' withdrawal means that the jv will most likely be wound up,sources say.AAF could not be reached for a comment on the reports.
