SRJ - an industry first

The SRJ comprises four retaining rings of counter-wound wire set in grooves in the pipe wall. These hold the connector and two pipe ends securely together. The SRJ wall thickness acts as a supporting sleeve and compensates for the grooves cut into the pipe wall. Use of the retaining wire principle is said to increase the strength of the connection by 3.14 x diameter (shear strength). The connector also features an internal double isolation sealing mechanism of two radial seals and a pipe end seal (metal or elastomeric compound) to ensure tightness of the connection and to eliminate any risk of leakage.
