FUR Voyager II Granted American Bureau of Shipping Type Approval

FLIR Systems recently announced that the Voyager II thermal imaging camera received final American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) type approval on May 19, 2009. This means that ABS engineers and surveyors evaluated the design, qualification testing and manufacturing/quality systems used to produce the Voyager II. As a result, the Voyager is now pre-approved for use on a variety of ABS class ships, making it easier for ABS class ships to receive permission to install it.
