Gradcracker, the careers website for science, engineering and technology (SET) students, says it has conducted a survey to determine students' attitudes to working in the oil and gas industry and, more specifically, relocating to Aberdeen. In response to the survey results, Gradcracker has launched a website about living and working in Aberdeen - whyaberdeen.com The survey was run throughout August, and the results showed a significant reluctance amongst SET students to living and working in Aberdeen. 81% of students said they would work in the oil and gas industry, yet only 47% would be prepared to relocate to Aberdeen. Students were also asked to rank six British cities in order of preference, London, Manchester and Bristol were more popular than Aberdeen, and Cardiff and Glasgow were less popular.
