Hydraulic, non-expandable compliant, and stand-alone screens alongside inflow control devises ((CDs) cost efficiently maximize well life span and reduce installation costs and risks. The current volatility of global oil prices has put more pressure on oil majors and exploration and production companies to look for advanced technologies from oil field services companies, which will keep costs down and increase efficiency in more intractable wells. One of the key areas is downhole sand control technology, which prevents the production of reservoir sands whilst achieving inflow performance: a fast growing sector projected to increase by a cumulative average growth rate (CAGR) of 10.8% over the next five years to be worth $17.9 billion by 2019.
