Technology expert, SITS Group, says it is on the road to expansion after clinching a foothold in the energy capital of Europe, leading the way to further Scottish contracts. The Newcastle based firm has landed a five year contract, with $359million turnover marine transport organisation GulfMark Offshore,to bring its Aberdeen IT infrastructure up to date with the latest computer server virtualisation technology. GulfMark Offshore provides marine transport to the global upstream oil and gas industry, moving equipment, people and supplies to offshore facilities and repositioning drilling structures. The deal will see SITS help to strengthen communications and business continuity networks for the 70 staff working in Aberdeen and connect the company's fleet of platform supply and speciality vessels into the main network.
