摘要

Segmented thermoplastic polyurethanes and polyureas (TPU) are interesting and versatile materials which have received the attention of both academic and industrial researchers for over 35 years(1 -3). The interest in these materials is still very strong because of many different reasons, some of which may be listed as: (i) versatile chemistry and availability of a wide range f starting materials for the preparation of novel structures, (ii) need to better understand the structure-property relations, (iii) need to better understand the the played by the hydrogen bonding on morphology and properties, (iv) need i better understand the influence of processing conditions (from melt or solution) on the morphology and properties, and (v) need to designing materials for new applications.
