摘要

Asymmetric current-voltage behavior is commonly observed at interfaces between two electroactive materials that are dissimilar in some way: asymmetry is a design rule for current rectification. The most common examples are interfaces between inorganic conductors that have differing electrochemical potentials of electrons due to a difference in band structure or doping level. Hererin, we report steady-state rectification at an interface between polyacetylene ionomers: one a cationically functionalized polyacetylene and the other an anionically functionalized polyacetylene, as shown below.
