The availability of good quality drinking water is decreasing water is decreasing. Illness due to consumption of unsanitary drinking water is a serious health issue in developing countries. It is estimated that there are 3 to 5 million people a year dying from drinking contaminated water in the world. Thus, it will be beneficial both in society and economy to develop new adsorbent materials that can rapidly purify water.
