Rising Costs,Robust Demand Drives Up PP Prices

Polypropylene (PP) producers have pushed through a 3-cts/lb November 1 increase aided by strong demand and steady increases in propylene feedstock prices.Price increases this year now total 22 cts/lb,driving prices up to 57 cts-64 cts/lb.Further increases of 4 cts/lb,effective December 1,are pending,and some producers have issued a 5-cts/lb increase for January,sources say.
