Sabic Commissions Acetic Acid Plant

Sabic says its affiliate Ibn Rushd has commissioned a 34,000-m.t./year acetic acid plant at Yanbu,Saudi Arabia.The plant is the first based on an ethane oxidation technology developed by Sabic,the company says.The conventional route to acetic acid is via methanol.
