It often seems that Nissan gets lost in the shadow of its gargantuan archrival, Toyota. So whenever Nissan can get a jump on its competitor, it's exciting. And, in this case, it's big news. While Toyota gingerly dipped its toe into the full-size pickup truck waters with its not-quite-full-size Tundra a few years ago, Nissan decided to do a cannonball and give us the Canton, Miss.-built Titan. The Titan is aptly named. It's simply a big ol' truck. One complete with a big ol' thumpin' V8 engine under its hood. In fact, the Titan is so big that we ordered ours with two-wheel drive, rather than 4 wd, just to be sure it wouldn't be too tall to fit into our cramped subterranean parking garage here in midtown Manhattan.
