Siam Cement Makes Offer for MFC; Thai Firms' Profits Soar

Siam Cement says it has made a tender offer to purchase the 72.5% it does not own of National Petrochemical Co.(NPC;Bangkok).The offer is mandatory under Thai stock exchange rules following Siam Cement's recent acquisition of an addiational 13% of polyvinyl chloride producer thai plastic and chemicals (TPC).
