摘要

Adsorption desulfurization of liquid hydrocarbon fuels has become a very important and active research subject worldwide. There are some papers in the literature related to the adsorption desulfurization of diesel fuels (1-6). Among them, adsorption desulfurization of diesel fuels over activated carbons has been paid great attention. Activated carbon is a material that has all the required characteristics to be used as a catalyst or adsorbents. Our previous studies showed that some activated carbon has higher capacity and selectivity for sulfur removal from diesel. In a practical industry process, the regenerability of the adsorbent is crucial. It is necessary to determine the best method and solvent in regeneration of the spent activated carbons in the adsorption desulfurization process.
