摘要

The use of hydrogen donor solvents in coal liquefaction and heavy and extra heavy crude oil upgrading has been widely studied (1-3). It has recently been proposed that the same concept can be used for underground crude oil upgrading (4,5). However, working conditions in underground crude oil processes are quite from those used in coal liquefaction and crude oil upgrading (i.e, the presence of steam, hot water and natural formatiaon at temperatures below 553 K). Therefore, it is important to understand the mechanisms of hydrogen transfer on the cracking of model hydrocarbons at conditions similar to that found downhole during oil production and recovery. In the present work, the reactivity of Ethylbenzene (EB) and Diphenylethane (DPE) in presence of hydrogen donor solvents (Tetralin and Decalin), solid matrix (Silica-Alumina and SiO_2) and steam has been studied under low severity conditions (573-613K) as those found downhole during steam iniection porcesses.
