Development of a diesel and JP-8 fueled Auto Thermal Reformer (ATR)and Water gas Shift Reactor (WGSR)are discussed here.In particular reformate production suitable for both Solid Oxide (SOFC)and Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM)Fuel Cells are described.The overview includes consideration of sulfur removal,pumps,blowers,controls,steam generation,fuel/air/steam mixing,heat exchange,durability and performance maps.Size ranges from 100 Wth to 150 kWth are reviewed.
