摘要

Hydrodemetallization (HDM) is an integral part of upgrading heavy feeds by hydroprocessing.It is well known that the HDM reactions tend to be limited by the diffusion of large metal-bearing molecules into the catalyst interior,resulting in the catalyst capacity for metal accumulation is not fully utilized.Since the diffusivity is predominantly determined by the pore size of the catalysts,it is widely recognized that a large average pore-diameter matching the metal-containing molecules has a positive effect on the activity and long-term stability (1-4).
