摘要

The increasing production of heavier crude oils with a higher asphaltene content causes troubles in oil processing.A major problem is the deposition of fine particles which can lead to catalyst deactivation and installation fouling.The deposition of solids in petroleum production,transportation and upgrading operations has been extensively studied in the last decades.
