摘要

In the past decade, a lot of attention has been given to producing thin palladium and palladium alloy films for hydrogen separation and for use in catalytic membrane reactors. By remopving hydrogen from the reaction products in equilibrium restricted reactions such as dehydrogenation reactions, the equilibrium can be shifted towards the prodcut side, giving higher conversions at the same operating temperatures. The possibility eists to do the reactions at lower temperatures which will imporve reaction selectivity and reduce energy consumption. The catalyst life will be improvoed, by reducing catalyst deactivation. High purity separated hydrogen is an important commodity for a chemical plant.
