There is little doubt that FnHm diblocks and multiblocks will continue to intrigue scientists, producing knew knowledge and useful applications. A strong case can be made for such diblocks when the specific functional properties of F-alkyl chains are needed, in view of their relative biological and environmental innocuousness among highly fluorinated amphiphiles.
