Since the first applications of residual dipolar couplings (RDCs)to biomolecular systems approximately a decade ago,RDCs have rapidly emerged as a standard tool for the characterization of structure in solution.However,their application to the study of biomolecular dynamics has developed much more slowly,in large part due to the additional difficulties associated with their interpretation.
