EARLY 2011 farm-milk prices rallied sharply. Class III advanced from $13.48 in January to $17 in February, and topped $19 for March. Class IV rose from $16.42 in January to $18.40 in February, and neared $19.70 for March. The U.S. average all-milk price rallied from $16.70 in January to $18.40 in February to near $19 in March. "These prices most likely will be the peak for the year," says Bob Cropp, a University of Wisconsin economist.
