摘要

SPLIT a few more logs. Stack straw bales a little higher around the house. Scrutinize your tillage trips, as well as those extra trips to town. Today's fuel prices are going to stay with us, and possibly inch a little higher into 2006. That's the latest projection from the U.S. Department of Energy's Energy Information Administration. Yes, fuel prices receded from record highs with the ebbing floodwaters of Hurricane Katrina. However, the long-term price trends have been steadily climbing for the past 10 years, and post-Katrina recovery of the oil and gas industry is still uncertain enough that EIA is still talking three scenarios: slow, medium and fast recovery.
