FOOD and agriculture converged on the big city recently, as the U.S. Farmers and Ranchers Alliance hosted its third Food Dialogues in New York in November. The day featured three panels discussing media, antibiotics and genetically modified seed. Thefirst panel, Media, Marketing and Healthy Choices, was moderated by Ali Velshi, CNN chief business correspondent. CNN journalist Kat Kinsman described her experience in sharing farmers' stories through the CNN blog "Eatocracy." She learned about a farmer named Ryan Goodman through a blog comment, and found his blog depicting daily life on the farm. She asked him to write a piece for "Eatocracy."
