GLENN Elzinga isn't your typical rancher. In fact, his wife calls him the "quintessential cowboy who's a little different, a little odd, a little quirky."You would think a guy sporting traits like that would want all the publicity he could muster in his quest to sell beef to America.That's just not the case—anymore. Elzinga doesn't need more publicity, because he and his family have about as many customers as they can handle.Elzinga didn't come into ranching the typical way. When he finally decided to replace Bureau of Land Management work clothes with a Stetson hat, cowboy boots and used chaps, he did what many other Western beef producers do: try to make a living the traditional way.
