Fujian Liansheng testing 600,000 tonne/yr BM

China’s Fujian Liansheng Paper has started mechanical tests on a new 600,000 tonne/yr board unit at its Longhai mill in Zhangzhou city, Fujian province. The Voith Paper unit, dubbed PM 8, has a trim width of 6.6 m and a design speed of 1,100 m/min (No. 9, 2012, p.1). It is planned to produce grayback coated duplex board. The PM was originally scheduled to start up by the end of 2013. The firm did not explain the change.
