Chinese pulp and paper mills to slow down or take downtime during APEC to combat pollution

Some local Chinese pulp and paper (P&P) mills are being obliged to take downtime or cut production around the upcoming Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meetings, which will be held on November 5 - 11 in Beijing. To deal with air quality issues, especially smog, pollutant discharge in Beijing and the neighboring regions of Tianjin and Hebei is expected to be cut by a third during the APEC meetings.
