Fine paper prices have been stable in Southeast Asia and Hong Kong this quarter at a low level, as demand picked up while supplies remained high for both uncoated and coated fine paper (UFP and CFP). This has left UFP levels at $700-745/ tonne and CFP levels at $670-715/tonne (No.9,p.1). However, some regular deals for UFP are being reported as low as $680/ tonne and as high as $780/tonne, while some CFP is reportedly selling within contracts for as little as $650/tonne.
