The aim of the tests was to develop the GD OES quantitative depthprofile analysis method for determination of the contents of alloy elements and impurities in metallic zinc-based coatings. A testing procedure that included determination of the coating thicknesses and the contents of six elements by GD OES method using Polyvac 2000 GDS spectrometer was developed.
